This section of the website is here to help respond to frequently asked questions (FAQs) and will be expanded upon as new questions are received.

Viewing/listening to videos/audio

How do I watch the Rebuild Ampara Videos?

You can either view them in your browser using the common Flash Player browser plugin or you can download the videos by right clicking on the Download links and downloading the linked file. If you are having any problems, you can also view our videos at Google Video or you can both view and download our videos at our Blip.tv site, rebuildampara.blip.tv.

Subscribe/Feeds

How do I subscribe to content/What's a web feed?

You can subscribe to the Rebuild Ampara Videos, Radio Programme, or News using RSS feeds (or using iTunes for our videos). These feeds allow you to have any new content automatically delivered to your computer, just like subscribing to a magazine gets each new issue delivered to your home.

To use RSS feeds, you will need an RSS Reader, News Reader, or Feed Aggregator (all the same thing, really). This utility gathers RSS content for you to read, listen to, or view. There are many options depending on your platform, but here are a few examples:

Who do I contact?

I have a story I'd like to share

If your story is based out of Sri Lanka, you should contact one of our Media Team in Akkaraipattu: Mr. Phakurdeen or Mr. Anwar. Either person can help facilitate this process.

If your story is based elsewhere (Canada, internationally) then you should contact Jeff MacArthur, VP Communications & Technology, who is based in Halifax, Canada.

Submitting stories

How can I submit a story?

All stories will go through our Communications Team in Sri Lanka. Our Media Team in Akkaraipattu: Mr. Phakurdeen or Mr. Anwar will be happy to help facilitate this process.

Reporting problems/making suggestions

How can I report problems and make suggestions?

We are always happy to hear from our site visitors and welcome constructive suggestions for improvements and reporting of problems. We are currently developing several forms which be used for this in the near future, but in the meantime you can use this email, and your concerns will be forwarded to the appropriate person.
